PCI & Data Security Standard

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of industry-mandated requirements for any business that handles, processes, or stores credit cards – regardless of the business’s size or location. The PCI Security Standards Council was founded by 5 of the major card brands, and they each share equal responsibilities in the council’s work.

When applicable, e-commerce related exchanges on our platforms follow the PCI DSS standard. OOSys Canada Inc. is PCI DSS compliant which means that our security policies, and procedures meet the requisite standard.

OOSys Canada Inc. does not store any credit card information but uses a validated Level 1 PCI DSS compliant service provider.

Commitment to Data Security

We currently use the Apache SSL Web Server to protect the information that you provide to us through our website. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypts information and keeps the data private and confidential between your computer and the OOSys Canada Inc. servers. This technology helps to make it safer to transmit your credit card number over the Internet.

Our solutions are PCI compliant which means that our servers do not hold financial information on our servers. Instead, we send that information directly to the payment providers so that money is deposited directly into the sellers’ account. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information and email addresses submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute confidentiality or security.

The information OOSys Canada Inc. collects may be collected, transferred to, stored and processed in the Canada and any other country in which OOSys Canada Inc. and its agents and partners maintain facilities.
